June 1944 – Soviet Union conquers Belarus
- On June 22, 1944, the Red Army launches a massive offensive in eastern Belarus and destroyes the German Army Group.
- By August 1, 1944, the Red Army advances to the Vistula River and then continues to advance to Warsaw (Poland).
